With the summer comes people going there seperate ways. I am able to keep in contact with a lot of my friends from school and oftentimes we can find things to talk about. Sometimes however, especially with my more introverted friends it can be more difficult. Can anyone make suggestions for converstation starters for people who know each other fairly well and don't really do small talk. I.e. I don't want to talk about the weather, I already know about his summer plans as well as what he's doing next year, we usually don't talk about news stuff. Any other suggestions? I also need help keeping the conversation going when it starts to slow down after only a couple of comments back and forth

try talking about things that happen in your daily occurances while not making it small talk. Give them a scenario of what happened to you, and ask them what they would do in that situation. Rinse and repeat. If that doesn't work...then I don't know.

Just spit out a bunch of random themes, sooner or later you get to see what can feed a conversation or not

examples:

I went to the grocery store today and there I saw....

Tonight there is a game on TV, are you thrilled about it?

Yesterday I met my aunt on the bus and she said...

Im hungry, Im thinking of what to eat, you haven any suggestions?
