Hey everyone! Long time, no see! I just wanted to tell y'all about a new revolution in my life...

I am now a skater! Well, perhaps a rookie skater, but anyways, i just recieved my first skateboard ever! I got it when my neighbor recieved it as an early Christmas present. She gave it to me because she didn't have much use for it (go figure, she's an elderly lady). anyways, i am now an offical rookie skater! (i'll have to remember to thank her for this!) Tomorrow i'll start lesson one: Learning to keep my balance on the darn thing!

Sounds awesome, good luck!! I am an inline skater myself, I tried some ramps once and after falling on my butt a few times I started getting the hang of it; once you get a feel for it's pretty easy.

I was a skater in my teens also, the trick is learning to throw your weight and keep your feet light. I'm too fat now, I'd break the deck....

start off on a flat surface. if you practice shifting your weight from front to back and correcting it it gets easier... on a not totally related note I love the Tony Hawk games...
