What is your favourite Metroid game?

Mine's Metroid Prime 2. A challenge even on Normal, but I don't mind. I haven't played them all though.

Though I have a suspition about which game is going to win.

I've played them all except Prime 2 and Prime 3.

My favourite is Super Metroid. Gotta love Kraid!

Metroid Prime:

Norfair (lower area)/Magmoor Caverns

Sweet. I've only played Prime, so I didn't know that.

Super Metroid was the biggest thrill-ride.

Corruption is cool because of the controller.

I've played:

Super Metroid
Metroid fusion
Metroid Zero Mission
Metroid Prime Hunters

The best overall of that list, I think, is Super Metroid: dark, atmospheric, epic, absorbing.
Prime Hunters has a huge replay value via bots multiplayer despite it's flaws.

well, that's a good question.
I voted Prime because Metroid was 2d for a long time, and Prime was the first of its type, and passed with flying colors...
Music, atmosphere, combat, puzzles, story, the sense you are all alone...
It went together so well (almost, if not exactly perfectly), and it has sequence-breaking, to boot!

but Super Metroid was very good as well, with all of the same features as prime, however, not in 3d.
As a fan of the series and as one who reviews games, I say Prime is the better of the latter-but only by a hair.

I have played all the way through Fusion, Zero Mission, and the first two Prime games. I have to say that Prime 2: Echoes is my favourite.

I liked the first one.
