I need to find poems about having and living with Asperger's, that describe, in poetry form (being Cpt. Oliver Baines Vious), any issues in life that exist due to having Asperger's, the toils, pains, sufferings, and (maybe) the advantages of having the disorder.

I'll tell you why after some of you post the poetry (or links thereto.)

Here's a cheerful little ditty I wrote about my adventure with depression and panic a decade ago :-)

Beast

So many years
learning to spot the monster
in all its manifestations,
camouflage,
deceit.

Convinced that
simply seeing it
ahead of time
was all that was required.

Now it has me after all.

Its pink hump
bends the mirror surface of the
medication.

How many decades must it have
trailed me to know the way in so well?

Why didn’t I see it coming?
Why didn’t I glimpse it darting
at the corner of my sight
and raise the wall a foot?

Now my own teeth are gone
and I gaze at food on the shelves
and I stare at my lover’s lips
and I wish I’d written down somewhere
who I was before.

I hear it
splashing softly
and patiently
beneath the last of the sedative.

I never saw it coming.

I've written a few poems about it, although the first one was when I thought I was developing OCD.

I'd rather know why before I posted.
