I like to write poems when I feel motivated/inspired to do so. A lot of people like them, so much that my brother and sister asked me to write each of them a poem for a present. Here they are:

Reflection

Often seen

Always centered

Our colored thoughts are our captors

Although he created us, we created his image with our own

I wonder what you’ll see when you stare into the Face of God.

Beacon

The first one

Drowning in the shadow

Which consumed whatever was

And whatever will be

It was its own sea, and only it’s own

The self was ambiguous, unknown, ridden with error

Doomed.

***

But then beyond the surface, an angel came forth

With radiance known and comparable to none
Is it of light, or of the purifying flame?

Either way, the shadow is gone.

Wow...they are good :)

I write poetry, too...although not as good as yours.
Well done!
