Don't ya just hate it?

It happens more than I'd like it to. I used to have a "friend" who took every opportunity to play devil's advocate and telling me I'm wrong -- all the while professing to have the same beliefs that I do. This is AFTER I told him repeatedly that I am not a fan of debates. Needless to say, we are no longer friends.

I don't mind debates, but just as long as it is over philosphical matters and the other person isn't trying to push his/her beliefs on me. I love finding out what other people believe and why they believe the way they do. I'm not going to push my morals on other people, and I like it when others give me the same respect.

I've played devil's advocate before, and it's a lot of fun to do so. But I only do it with people I'm really comfortable with and when both of us know not to take anything personally. :|

If your beliefs are wrong at the very least expect people to tell you. You're lucky if you don't also get punched and beaten up so stop moaning!

I hope that was sarcasm.

Wait just a minute here! How can they be wrong if they are your beliefs?

No Serissa, if you believe in something then it is automatically right, and this has been proven by science

I believe that what you just said was complete bull----. Seeing as if I believe something, it is automatically right.... ;)

((The sad thing is, though, some people really do believe that beliefs make things true!))
