I hate it, I think the moral of the story is crap, and I can't believe I'm wasting my time with it, but at the same time, Mr. Barker's prose and imaginative detail are keeping me turning the pages.
Yes, I found that very annoying too, the whole 'men are evil' theme, and the ending is just so conventional and predictable. But I liked some of the early bits and at the middle.
