anyone else here a fan? I know, after Empire, they started going downhill but Promised Land and Hear in the Now Frontier were pretty cool. Q2k, Tribe and Mindcrime II were "eh..." so-so. I think it's due to the fact Geoff Tate and everyone else is getting old and he can't hit the notes he used to. Or it could be that they're calming down, no need for all the noise and "We'll burn the White House down" stuff.

Operation Mindcrime pt. I was the best, IMO. My favorite Rÿche song is on that one too. Suite Sister Mary.

Mindrcime is one of my all time favorite albums. My favorite song from that album is Spreading the Disease.
I missed the concert when they toured for Mindcrime . I was able
to go see them when they came out with Empire.

I think Rage for Order was their best work, actually.

i have operation mindcrime. its pretty good. the other songs i like are jet city woman, silent lucidity, and queen of the reich

I love the woman wore black and I don't believe in love. I'm a new fan so I really haven't heard alot. But I love their music.

Holy crap. My cold, artistic aesthetic tells me its silly, but I'm listening to Mindcrime right now and their song writing is some of the tightest, most awesome metal-per-se I've ever heard. I really don't like this stuff usually, but duuuuude....

I totally love their first album and many other songs from following albums.

I'm not a "fan" per se, but I like a few of their songs:
I Don't Believe In Love
Empire
Silent Lucidity

O:M was amazing (especially for its time)
The 1st EP (?) was great too - really good blend of power/melody.

Not heard too much of their other stuff...

Have been a 'Rÿche fan for many years. Introduced to them in '88 via MTV rotation of the Eyes Of A Stranger video (still my all-time fav QR song). Became a big fan in them starting in '90 with the release of the Empire album. Friend in college soon got me hooked on their earlier stuff (esp. Rage For Order). As much as I love Operation: Mindcrime, "Rage" is the album I've listened to most. "Mindcrime" requires commiting myself to listening to every track in order, but with "Rage" I can play as much or as little as feel like (and the tracks in any order).

Have every QR studio CD + some of their official live material & videos/DVDs. Last year, I also picked-up 2 vinyl LPs off eBay ("Rage" & "Mindcrime") as part of my small collection of LP cover art--to frame & display on my living room wall (next to my bass guitars). Have seen them live 8 times. First time was '91 in Milwaukee--one of the 3 Wisconsin shows where Operation: LIVEcrime was filmed.

Last but not least, in the early days of the Internet (circa '93-'95), I was a loyal subscriber (and occasional contributer) to Dan Birchall's great "Screaming In Digital" e-mail newsletter for QR fans.
