I often think in game-related terms. To make things easier to understand.
I can't think of a good example. It can be about anything. Politics. Physics. Military history. Law & Order (The tv-show.).
I am suddenly struck by a thought like "Ah, like casting Shell". Or "OK, +20 Quick". Or "Damage limit disabled?" Or "Heh heh, Zergling-rush, huh?".

If you would into some of the sects of budhism and hinduism. You would see the concept of lila 'the play of the gods".
Basically it tells you that life is an illusion and should be treated so seriously. I personally think that in some people playing a lot of video games might create a detachement from life many spiritual seekers seek. It could help one realize that life is an illusion just like the game.

I personally really like video games, i like the ones that are so well made that they hold my attention to such a degree that I become immersed in them. I'm then in that world, and for that instance the world of the game is just as real as the real world.

Interesting.

I made something similar with my Final Fantasy obsession :)

Most people speak of it as a "high".
There's Virtua High.
Then there's Manic.
And Flow.
Sometimes I hear the terms "Puzzle Nirvana", "Speed Nirvana", "Hack Nirvana" or just more in general "Game Nirvana".

Rave, Space, Fire, stuff like that.
