A while back I asked for those of you in Europe to give your feelings on the United States.

Now I ask you again, this time to comment on your own society. I listen to conservative pundits on the radio and every now and then they rile against socialism and how they claim in the european countries like France and Germany, socialism has caused society to go to hell, with it's promiscuity, drug use, loose morals, crime, and lack of a common idendity and language, along with a complete and utter dependence upon public services, are destroying the fabric of society and leading to chaos, as evidenced by the recent uprest in France.

So, for those of you in European countries, do you see this as fact, or fiction?

It is generally safe to assume anything that a conservative american pundit says is fiction based on a solid fictional basis.

Utter trash.

All social problems are caused by not enough socialism. Just look at America. The more like America Europe becomes, the more social problems it will encounter, and the Paris riots are just the beginning.

We Europeans don't like capitalism, and unlike you yanks who just accept your lot in life, we will fight back when the WTO and big business tries to impose its values on us.

Socialism, with all it entails, is a sinking ship that is going to drag Europe down with it.

The United States is sadly heading towards socialism, and so is beginning to manifest many of the same problems that Europe is. Look at the Katrina disaster, for example. That was brought on by socialist policies which deprive human beings of their dignity and the means to support themselves and makes them dependent on a central government. When that government fails them, as governments always do, disaster ensues.

That is also why all the immigrants in France are rioting. The socialist government of France took away their human dignity and made conditions so that there are no jobs to be had.

I You are wrong RobertN for there are as many CAPITALISTS in Europe as in North America. In Europe many of the countries are having shrinking of population this is where socialism is at play to protect them. Europe needs to grow its economies to keep its social programs alive. So with a shrinking population it will need to continue to be capitalistic in nature.
