Which Final Fantasy villain is the best of all time?
Note: Because I haven't played all the Final Fantasy games (I know, shame on me :shameonyou: ), I'm only posting the villains in the games I've played and then posting an other option.

Emperor Mateus Palameccia (Final Fantasy II, JP)

The Cloud of Darkness (Final Fantasy III, JP)

Zemus/Zeromus (Final Fantasy IV, II US) (I dunno whether Golbez should be included, as Zemus/Zeromus wasn't there until the end)

Exdeath (Final Fantasy V JP)

Ultimecia (Final Fantasy VIII)

Kuja, or Necron (Final Fantasy IX)

Vayne/The Undying (Final Fantasy XII)

Out of the four choices I've only played X so I have to vote for Seymour. I don't really want to though.

It's sort of a coin toss between Kuja and Kefka for me. I didn't like Sephiroth, not because he's a bad character, but because he's way too overhyped when he's far from the best anyway, and FFVII is an overconvoluted, blocky piece of tripe in which poor Sephiroth is one of the ONLY likeable characters.

Kefka.

i dont like sephiroth because his main motivation is revenge over his mom's death and i dont like villains whose main motivation is revenge.

practically any villain(except a few cases)their quest for global domination derives from some sort of revenge.

Of course Sephiroth is going to be almost everyone's favorite, he's mine as well, with Kefka a very close second, and Seymour a close third.

I love good villains.

Definitely Kefka, even though I like FFIV way more than FFVI. Kefka is a much deeper and more entertaining villain than Golbez (and I'd say he's definitely the villain you should count for IV, since he's the one you're after for the vast majority of the game) and Sephiroth, much like Cloud, is just way too whiny to get my vote.

Good. Sephiroth is winning. Aeris's death doesn't leave your mind for days after playing it. Best villain in the whole series. Kefka is hard to feel threatened by, because hes two-bit.

Kefka. He's the most comical of all the final bad guys in Final Fantasy, with his silly sprite animations and laugh, and his awesome theme music.
