reguardless of what the term should be, they have their great moments... namely "The Great Disappointment", "...but home is nowhere", "Days of the Phoenix", and "This Time Imperfect." I dunno. They give me that low I like when I listen to sad music. And so I like it.

I think the definition of Goth music is very vague. All those subject matters that you listed can certainly be present in "non-Goth" music. It seems to me that the term is usually applied to a band whose music is more-or-less consistant in a "Goth mood."
