My first semester is unoffically over for me. I have all my work done and ready to turn in tomorrow.

I have a final test to take from 8am to 9:30, and then I can head back home for the semester break.

I feel like breaking out into a commerical here...

One semester's tuition - $5000

Number of sleepless nights
caused by snoring roomate - 8

Number of times picked on - 3

knowing you survived it - Priceless

That's a MasterCard commercial, not a Visa.

Congratulations, Scoots. I just have one more critique to go, and then I will be done with this semester, as well.

My semester is almost over, a week or so and it's done, however, I don't find it annoying as I used to the first couple of years, I feel comfortable with those I know for a while, and they know me and how I usually act quite well by now.

I can now say that my semester is *OFFICALLY* over.

Woke up way early thursday morning, enjoyed an hour or so of using my 10 megabit internet connection for the last time till february. In the mean time I have live off a 44kbs dial-up connection.

My test this morning was a pain to do. Essentially my professor plopped down the questions and basicly said... "I want you in an hour to write a ten-sided essay that answers the following five questions..."

The whole class was aghast, no way would this be possible, so after a lot of complaining, my professor amended the instructions. I was able to finish with about 1 minute to spare.

With that, I was done. I went back to my dorm, grabbed my english research paper and put that in my english professors mailbox, went back to my dorm and sold off my books in the union. I was expecting a long line, but I only had to wait five minutes. I got $110 for my books. As I left, the line had grown to be very long, I would say there was at least 50 people in line. So I had just beat the crowd. I had some time to burn so I went back to my room and watched the second half of the price is right.

Then I ate lunch and got my vehicle up to my dorm room. People don't know how to park, or know how to obey parking laws. I had to squeeze into one tiny little space. Also, outside my dorm there's only 30 minute parking, and some cars were there at 11:30 that were there when I left for class at 7:30.

I got packed up, got home around 1:15, unpacked, set up my computer, went to work.

Now I have six weeks to lay around and look forward to the next semester. It's gonna be a pain.

Six weeks! Lucky you.... we only get two, then we start Wintersession. That's what happens when you have trimesters.

If that's the only thing that's given you sleepless nights, it couldn't have been that hard of a semester.

The courses I took themselves were not difficult. It was trying to stay focused on doing my work and studying and trying to make my way around on campus for 4 months with 11,000 other people that was hard for me.

the comment about the sleepless nights was an attempt on my part at humor. In actuality, I had no "sleepless" nights, but during the first week, all the noises in my dorm, as well as my roomates snoring caused me to get only about 2 hours of sleep a night.

After the first week, I got earplugs to block out the noise which worked, and I was able to get sleep.

However, I had to fiddle around with the earplugs for 20 minutes each night before I could try and sleep since I need both plugs to feel the sameway in my ears.

I hate having six weeks with nothing to do too! My last day sounded relatively similar to yours, well some parts anyway. we go back jan 23. it couldnt come soon enough. there's nothing to do at home. relaxing is nice sure but in small does...my mind does not like unstructured time.

Congratulations Scoots ! I did not see your message before.

My winter break started on December 16th, but the final tests are from January 4th to January 8th, and then we get another free week before the next semester. I hope I will pass them.

I also survived one semester in college.
