I have recently been posting my resume on employment websites looking for work. I thought that maybe a legitimate company might call me for an interview and it would give me a larger choice of employers with job openings. Well, it looks like they're not the only ones taking a look at my resume. And apparently, they think people are pretty gullable. I got this in my email today....

Now this is obviously a scam and a thinly veiled one at that. What worries me is they have access to people's information and may try to use it in a criminal manner. I'm going to lodge a complaint with the career website about whatever "foundation" this is so at least they'll be aware of it.
It just comes to show that your information isn't safe anywhere and if you're looking for employment, it's imperative to use caution when responding to an alleged company's job offer. To all those who are searching, please be careful who you give your information to and do your research first to make sure a company's job offer is legitimate.
