FALLOUT 3.

I'm so upset that Bethesda are basically scrapping everything about Fallout and just making a post apocalyptic Elder Scrolls game =( They're not even contacting any of the original designers for input.

Ga, this one does bother me. I don't have much faith in Bethesda...they do a different kind of RPG, and it's not my style.

Speak for yourself... 1700+ hours logged on Morrowind over here, and that's before mods...

But then again, it's probably going to be ab Obliivon clone, which would just suck...

well we'll just see if its good or bad when it gets released, who knows maybe its the best game to be released this year, or it could be a total failure and a complete waste of time. although I'm waiting for it with great anticipation(sadly I've never played the other games so I can't judge it compared to previous titles)

The Elder Scrolls games may be very big, but their stories never interest me, their NPC's always seem like cardboard cutouts rather than actual characters...too much of the games are focused on traversing repetitive boring spans of land...the games seem too broad in some ways while still forgetting to put in some things that would add a LOT of detail to the games, like children...I don't like the way that the monsters are levelled so they can all be killed by you...I don't like the lack of overall character development beyond statistics...I don't like how your character is rarely given dialogue options to choose whether he wants to be a mean b***h or a noble warrior...I find the world unremarkable and ridden with cliches...I don't find the graphics at all visually appealing (yes, this includes Oblivion)....

THIS review more or less sums up my feelings about The Elder Scrolls.

Basically, everything that Fallout does well...Oblivion doesn't. Oblivion has strengths, certainly; I shan't deny that. But it's a very different kind of roleplaying game.

From what I read, it was originally being developed for DC before Sega pulled the plug.

My feelings exactly.

I've found that the majority of people who are excited about Bethesda's Fallout 3 are Elder Scrolls fans who haven't played the first three games (Wasteland included) =/

Ha ha, I just remembered another cancelled game.

At the end of Shadowrun for SNES, it tells you to watch out for Shadowrun 2.

Obviously, never happened =/

Alan Wake and Max Payne 3 weren't canned, dude. They're just not done yet.

As for Sam and Max: Feelance Police, where were you when Sam & Max: Season 1 came out? It's availible now, as are many episodes of Season 2 on gametap.

But that did remind me: FULL THROTTLE.

Alan Wake for PS3 is canned. Max Payne 3 is put on hold for all plattforms, and probably canned as well.

Oh, I see. Alan Wake isn't cancelled, it just isn't being ported to PS3.

Though the N64 version was abandoned, Mother 3 was released for the GBA in 2006, though it was never released outside of Japan.

I would've rather seen a sequel to the Genesis version. If you've played that one, you'd know how cool it would be to have that game with some of the game's problems fixed up on a next gen system. I imagine it would play something like Grand Theft Auto 3/4 but with RPG elements and computer hacking.

Are you referring to the LucasArts point and click adventure game? That was awesome, that game, but why do you mention it here? Was there a sequel planned?

Yeah. It didn't look that good but it was still a Full Throttle sequel. Heh.

I never cared for the Genesis one, but I know what you mean about doing a sequel with today's technology...they could actually make something that would do the P&P justice.

That recent FPS game is just...wow...even if I ignore the fact that it's supposed to be Shadowrun, it's still a pretty bad FPS.
