I have not gotten along with my mother very often at all. She said over $800 worth of damage was done to our vehicle. I did not pay very much attention to her yesterday, and she was not very happy. Worst of all, she was happy before when we were talking about that. Also, my support group tried to be happy as well. What is with that?

I'm sorry.

I don't really understand this either. Good luck.

I have had a history of disagreeing with my mother when she in reality tries to make things better. In that case, my frame of mind is all wrong. I wonder why everyone is all happy.

Well, our vehicle had a broken vacuum pump. The check engine light came on on Christmas Day when I was riding in the dark pouring rain. The people in the service station up the road from me said to give my mother 20 to 30 minutes, and they were still not finished. So, they opened the garage door and finally fixed it. I don't think I really trust them. However, it is fixed and things are going very well.

Glad your vehicle is back up and running. Why don't you get along with your mother?

Every time I go through life as normal with her, I get very frustrated. I think it's because she gets easily stressed herself. I think she has withstood a lot in life. My grandfather had a huge problem with drinking alcohol, but he is over that. However, my dad had been drinking alcohol, and he is still drinking. My mother has withstood a lot in life, and I admire her for her bravery.

It's hard to deal with things when you have other chronic stressors. Give your mom a hug, it sounds like she needs it. Actually, you probably need it too.

Unfortunately, I can't give my mother a hug. She lives 3000 miles away from me. I just sent her an e-mail a few minutes ago, and I asked her how her trip was and whether she made it back to my hometown safely. However, I acted like I didn't even care. This is why we don't get along.

Because you acted like you didn't care about your mother.

I thought that was a joke. At least I have an excellent support group here.

It's good to have a support group.
