The Royal Borough of Autism (July 2008)
I took a walk down Autism Lane
Where every house has a number
And each street has a name
On Asperger Street, I turned to the right
Looked at Doctor Hans' children
What a wonderful sight
I took the bus to Kanner's Corner
Where Auties line
Them bricks in order
A beautiful girl was sitting nearby
Flapping her hands
As though she could fly
I fixed my gaze on a stimmy toy
While aspies where spinning
Them wheels with such joy
The Royal Borough of Autism
Is my haven, my heaven and my jail

You and Us (July 2008)
Where your world ends
Ours begins
Where you can no longer feel
Our feelings are only starting to emerge
What you perceive as normal
We perceive as unreachable
What you perceive as unreachable
We perceive as normal
What you love
We can not love
And what you can not love
We love dearly
You and us
Neurotypicals and autistics
Two worlds that exist on this Earth
Yet light years separate between us

Across the Lake (July 2008)
Across the lake
Lives the autistic
You know nothing of her
Yet she knows all about you
For her vision is as sharp as an eagle's
And her hearing is as acute as a cat's
She has been living there for decades
Slowly fading into oblivion
And while she knew everything about you
You knew nothing of her

They say we are an epidemic
They claim we need a cure
We smile and continue to build

They say we don't exist
Or that we are pretenders
We laugh and continue to build

They want to wipe us out
From the pages of human history

I drove my car through Disability Drive
Although I had two legs to walk with
I likes the sights of Disability Drive
Because I had two eyes to see with
I loved the sounds of Disability Drive
Because I had two ears to hear with
I walked alone through Disability Drive
Although I had two hands to hug with
I built my home on Disability Drive
