I've never seen them but I'm sure seeing them live is what you can call an Experience, I hope I can see them as soon as possible, today I've bought their last album on iTunes and it's....PURE MAGIC... :D

I saw them earlier this year in London :D in fact I started a thread about them here a few weeks back, here it is if anyones interested http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt71639.html

I see they are loosing amiina their string section as one of the girls is pregnant, should be interesting to see them without strings I do really love the strings though.

Glad to hear you had a great time danielcanberra :D

Hi there,
I like their song 'gobbledigook' very much. The intenseness of the beating of the drums is very nice. My cup of tea. Please will you tip (?) me another good song you like of them?
Bye,

Hi Ermenia, gobbeldigook is a bit of a departure for them musically they haven't really done anything quite like it before (it's fantastic live BTW) however there is loads of great stuff to be found on the new album Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust
and it's predecessors takk, ( ) untitled AKA Vaka and ágætis byrjun.
Their début album Von is quite experimental and quite different to their other albums I would recommend trying it last of all.

Here’s a couple of useful links

Ooooh, I saw them a couple of years ago with Amiina on strings and it was just magic, I've never been to anything like it. It was in Denmark so kinda the home crowd, and it was so beautiful, everyone was in floods of tears by the end - guys and girls - because it was just haunting and so beautiful. I've never felt myself so physically moved by something before. But they tend to do that to ya don't they?

They speak to my soul like nothing else I've ever known.

I'm seeing them again in a couple of months, got my tickets last week. Very, very excited. I'll bring tissues this time. ;)

Just to clarify I guess you're reffering to ágætis byrjun and not their true first album Von? I agree ágætis byrjun is a fantastic album like a lot of the music I am attracted to it almost defies genre.
