Hi,

My old boss reminded me I've been with the company for 20 years (4 different jobs) and asked how I feel about sharing aspie moments at the recogniton lunch.

Thought you might get a kick out of them as all the NTs at work think they are great.

1) When asked how I'd deal with kids, I replied that I really had no idea what baby goats ate or if they could be housebroken.

2) While leading a critical project I e-mailed my boss, and a few engineering managers asking if I could use them as job references. Everyone was relieved to hear I was filling out an application to adopt a puppy.

3) After coworkers complained that my shirts were open too low, my boss had to explain that buttons were for purposes other than holding shirts on hangers. Seemed like extra work to unbutton, pull over head, re button, unbutton, pull over head again at night.

4) When a male co worker and I got to a large trade show and there were no hotel rooms available (his resevation got lost) I offered to share (two beds) and we spent the night playing video games which showed up on the hotel bill as $50 special services movie.

Oh welll.

Happy holidays

Once I was supposed to write an article about conservation of energy and I wrote about getting enough sleep and not overstressing yourself, when in fact I was supposed to be writing about fuel-efficient cars…

Rule number 1 for the workplace:

Do not use Dilbert as a guide to social skills
