this is my newest addition, hopefully coming off this week. i feel like it can't come off soon enough.
normally, i take a bath and wash my hair every day. i can't stand feeling not clean.
i can't take a normal bath with the cast (it goes all the way up my leg) so i've been relying on spounge baths, which do not leave you with that wonderful clean feeling a proper bath does.
the only way i can wash my hair is if my mom washes it ibn the sink. while it feels nice to have a scalp massage, i hate having the ends of my hair touched. so i've only washed it once since this has been on.
i hate feeling not clean, and this cast is *definatly* not clean. where my foot is is already black inside since i went outdoors with it, and my leg is wicked sweaty and gros feeling.

has anyone else been in a cast and can offer some advice as to how to make it more bearable?

When I had a cast on my arm, I constantly had about 10 women surrounding me, fussing over me and wanting to take care of me and drive me places and kiss me better, and telling me how brave I was. Oh it was so wonderful!

Oh, you are female. Nevermind then! :)

I remember when I was 12, I had my left arm (I'm left handed too) in plaster cast after I broke it for about 6-7 weeks. In that time I had to learn how to write with my right hand as the school I went to did not accept the I cant write excuse. And sports lessons were boring as I couldnt do any sport. But the amount of signatures I got on my cast was amazing, I've actually kept it. When it got taken off, my arm was grubby from the dead skin and a bit weaker than the other arm. What made me laugh was how much thinner it was in comparison to the right arm and it took a good couple of months before it looked like the other arm again.
