If not going to college, then indeed a diploma may be better than a GED. If a person gets even an associated degree from college however, then how a person graduated from HS does not matter.
I think the bigger concern is the reason for the drop out however. It seems that all of these schools claim that school is safe for the student and yet, when on the battle lines, you hear about cases like this. I wonder if their concern is to only make sure that people who fit their mold get the piece of paper to prove they are "normal" and the rest are somehow gotten rid of
So much for the talk of reducing the drop out rate.
