My mom has decided that the last incident involving me being harassed and me being punished for my retaliation is the last straw. She has a day off on Tuesday, so she's going to my school to raise a fuss, talk to the principal etc. Personally I think it would be better to drop out and continue learning at home through an online GED course.

You might want to check into an online high school, there was a private one I saw once. I think a diploma is better then a GED, yet they are supposed to be the same.

sc:

If not going to college, then indeed a diploma may be better than a GED. If a person gets even an associated degree from college however, then how a person graduated from HS does not matter.

I think the bigger concern is the reason for the drop out however. It seems that all of these schools claim that school is safe for the student and yet, when on the battle lines, you hear about cases like this. I wonder if their concern is to only make sure that people who fit their mold get the piece of paper to prove they are "normal" and the rest are somehow gotten rid of

So much for the talk of reducing the drop out rate.

I'm in the occupational program so we won't get diplomas we'll get certificates and a GED. But we do graduate.
