I wonder if there are any other guys on here like me, that are confused about their sexuality. I'm not really sure if I'm gay or staight. I'm obsessed with girls but also with guys who are either gay or in touch with their femininity. Its not liked i'm attracted to them sexually because i'm not, Its more like I want to be more like them. I get obsessed with what girls wear, like flared jeans, and sneakers. I love girls that wear skate shoes, especially ones with pink soles. Oh, and today i was at this art festival and saw a guy wearing these pink jelly bracelets and then another bracelet of plastic pink beads, that i thought was cool. Its make me want to do those things.

hi Jutty

if you're a guy and you're sexually attracted to girls and not guys, you are "straight" or "heterosexual".

if you're a guy and you like dressing in very feminine clothes - then you are a cross dresser or transvestite. I think this also includes adopting feminine mannerisms.

It is possible to be straight and transvestite. It is possible to be gay (homosexual) and transvestite.

Drag Queens are one form of expression of transvestites.

The period of roughly 1650 to 1750 or so was an excellent time for transvestites in European aristocracy - ie all the men got very dressed up, wore a lot of make up and frilly bright clothes and were very effeminate. With humans, the sex that gets all dressed up pretty varys from culture to culture and through history. In current western society a man can still dress feminine but he has to be a successful rock or rap star or fashion guru. Or a drag queen or just very eccentric. Some traditonal Asian, African, and Scottish culture, men can wear skirts. Personally - I'm a woman and I hate wearing a skirt or dress and makeup. Being female and dressing in masculine clothes is much more socially acceptable at the moment, not fair.

Movies that explore men cross dressing include "Priscilla, queen of the desert", "Amadeus", "The rocky horror picture show". There's probably more but those are the ones that I thought of first.

It's alright, you don't have to subscribe to a particular label. But for convenience, you may want to figure out what to say if or when people ask. The other thing is that you don't need to be just EITHER gay OR straight. You can be bisexual. An easy way to classify your sexuality is to ask yourself: "What genders have I had relations with so far and what do I see myself doing in the future?". By "relations" I mean whatever you feel qualifies as romantic or sexual.

There was a time I thought I may have been bisexual but I decided to see it this way: When I'm having sex with a woman I'm straight, with a man then gay, with both then bisexual and when I'm not having sex then I'm asexual.

Just be yourself :D

Is there such a thing as "pansexual"? ie whatever you can get whenever you can get it or nothing at all depending on convenience, availability, desire and circumstance?

The thing about sexuality is that most people like a consistent answer. That way they don't try to introduce you to people that aren't appropriate for your "sexuality". So if they think you're straight, you might be missing out on intros to other people you might find attractive. Then again I find that "you're very attractive/you're not my type" gets around a lot of that too - doesn't really matter what sex/sexuality they are or I am then.

I feel very much both ways as well. However, I have private mannerisms that tell myself that I like both older men and older women.

I don't know why, but it's true!

When asked I just say I'm straight because I've never had a non-hetero relationship. Unfortunatley though, I seem to mostly attract gay guys and younger females (oh god why hast thou accursed me?). So I wouldn't worry about missing out on other possibilities if you say your straight. In my experience, gay and bisexual people take more notice of your actual self rather than what sexual preferences you say you have.

And yes, I admit I watched TLOTR one more time just because of Legolas

i dont really care about sex. im still a virgin at 26. hahaha. big deal ill prolly die a virgin. my main thing is just getting a girlfriend to share my life with. someone to share a house with (if i can ever get my act together about getting a job and keeping it) if i dont it looks like a group home up here will accept me, and there's no way im living in a group home absolutley not. i do like masturbating though and thats how i finally figured out all these years i've lived with out sex.
