Today, I have learned a valueable lesson. I have learned to like the EAS Alert Transmission. I think of the positive things about it. I don't think about the negative things like the ugly noises and the disturbing colors. I think of the positive things about it. The EAS can alert you in a serious emergency and may save your life. The have to test it to make sure it works because you never know what can happen. I hope someday you can get it through your heads. I do feel sorry for those folks that can't handle it. That's all I have to say.

are you talking about the emergency broadcasting system they have on the tv? if you are i think its a pretty useless tool. i dont think if there was an actual emergency anyone would turn on there tv to find out what to do in the first place.

I wasn't saying that. They alert us, but they do so we can take charge in an emergency. They don't tell us what to do. They do mention some details... for example, Severe Thunderstorm Warning, they tell us to stay inside, and I think they do give updates on the time and where it is at. I am currently doing research on it. I live in the Shenandoah Valley, so I look at the Shenandoah Valley-Virgina EAS homepage, they tell you all about it.

well i have no idea what you are talking about. severe thunderstorm warnings are cool though, but they will rarely endanger your life, atleast where i am from, they don't.

I agree with you. I don't know why they do Severe Thunderstorm Warnings on one channel.
