Okay kiddies. Since I did "Frankenstein 101" in the romantic relationships forum-to 'build your right for you person'. I have decided to go a bit further-Let delve into our anima/animus.

If you were an animal (other than human) what animal would you be? Consider your individual personality traits.

As for me-either a raccoon or an otter.

The reason for this post is the animal you choose says much of your personality traits-usually.
This is a barrowed exercise from when I attended college modified for social interaction purposes.

I'd be a highly evolved hairless monkey.

Sorry to jack the thread here Whiteskunk, but Freud was a bit of a nut job. He did actually open up the possibility of treatment from mental illnesses (instead of banging them into a nuthouse), but his work can probably be summed up in two terms:

1. Mummy issues.
2. Penis extensions/substitutions.

He was obsessed with sex. And cocaine (seriously. He wrote a tract called "Uber Coca", or "Super Coca").

As for an animal, other than human?

Magpie (Australian) or butcher bird, so I can be vindictive to people.

Ego, superego, id, conscious, unconscious, subconscious, shared consciousness... all these terms are pretty much well known to everyone these days. And they all came from Freud... I think. (Not sure about that last one, actually).

Oh, and I'd be a panda. I don't actually know much about pandas though.

I'd love to be a cat - a small cat.

But since I've begun watching Monkey World I've developped a fondness for the orangutangs. They're easily depressed, over sensitive, loners, like food, don't like shearing. And prefers to live high in the air.
