Does anyone play the cello here? If so, what type of cello do you have? I have been playing cello for 7 years, as you can see by my name.

I don't play it but since 2 years I think about it.

Here in Quebec we have Jorane, she play cello and she sing, on one of her CD she sing sounds, she invented words who sound good and weird, it's cool, very original. She ever did show with an electric guitar player, I saw few minutes on tv and it was special.

We have Claude Lamothe too, it's original what he play, he did soundtrack for film too. I like Apocalyptica, 4 cello players, I'll probably buy their DVD soon.

Nigel Kennedy is very special, I saw a show of him on TV. I like Vanessa Mae. Nigel and Vanessa don't play cello but violin.

I can possibly play about Grade I or II pieces, as I sometimes pick up my sister's 1/2-size cello, which is ... actually I don't think it has a label. It's of a similar quality to a Skylark though - it belongs to the county music service, and their instruments are standing jokes

Though my sister's now given up (she's going to stick to just violin) so we'll have to give the cello back when we go back to school
