Today, I was essentially hired to a job in which I will be working in a supervising role, over 14 employees. The people above me will be helping me learn how to do my job. One of the parts of my job they told me about was handing out snacks and toys to the callers who get the most donations from those they call. (This is a phone bank). I want to separate perfomance from being nice, although it looks like I will have to be handing out these goodies. (One they mentioned was maracas.) I don't want to be like the managers described in the brown-nosing bosses thread.
I wonder what in the world I am doing as a supervisor and being a possible aspie, but I need the job. My parents have been hounding me about getting one. Any AS diagnosed individual who has been a supervisor, please reply. I want to know how you handle things from that standpoint. Apparently, I eitherhandled my job interview well or maybe they were just desperate for someone to fill the position, as they sounded that way over the phone. Whatever is the case, I have a job to do now.
