Nothing about the conditions in this event favour the Yanks.
Miserable weather, slow greens; a highly motivated, in-form European team versus an out-of-form and apathetic US squad.

It's not a question of who will win, more a case of by how far...
Enjoy!

Yeah not great weather over here! Storm there Tuesday night! Not really in favour for any Americans who are use to the hot weather!!
It is a lovely course though! The weather is very unpredictable though tomorrow might be a beautiful sunny day!!

Will you be there Kosmonaut??

No

Was going to get tickets, as a prezzie for my Dad, but we are all off to England instead. Which is ok with me! :D
Also the Ryder cup is on the day of my Birthday.

Not so fast fellas, the conditions might be poor, but that magazine artice has really angered the US team and they are out for blood...Tomorrow should give us an idea...I really think the cup is coming back across the Atlantic with the US team.

Not sure which magazine article you are refering to, but i can guess its content.
They need something to fire them up.

Admittedly, in terms of talent, the US team are far superior.

I find Tiger's Ryder Cup record interesting: very mediocre for someone who is in a different league.
I guess it's his revenge for being treated like a second class citizen when he was learning his trade.

The article was in the Dubliner and attacked the player's wives including FAKE nude pictues of Tiger's wife... anger might be a mild word.

Wow, I had no idea- I don't read the gutter press.

I would also think that the Irish would take an equally dim view of this sort of trash.

I have to admit, it doesn't look promising for the Red, White and Blue after the first day...5-3 Euros...

If the US team play to form on the final day, then Europe will need a few points cushion.
But it looks like the US are having problems...

Putting, my friend, the Us team does not seem to be able to make putts when they must. I think, that there is so little emphasise placed on team and match play here that the Americans lose focus and is hurts them in this format. There is a lesson there, I think. Nevertheless, golf is a game to be played and enjoyed by gentlemen and women and this thread is a good example of that spirit.

Congratulations to the European team, they were clearly superior this week and out played the US team in all aspects of the game. See you next time.

I'm sure the US will find a more suitable course for next time.
Things will be different on them faster greens.
