If it were my report I would write down the things that interest me and go from there.

For example, if I decided to write on ASD (Autist Sptrume Disorder) I would outline like this:

ADS

What is it--a sprtume disorder
Types (Autism, PDD-NOS, Aspergers etc)
Add one paragraph on each type

History
Founded by kennar and asperber about the same time, indepenantly.
Add one paragraph on each scientist

Issues though out life
-Preschool.
Issues
Treatments
-Elementary
Issue
Mainstream vs. Resource
-High school and College
-Adult life
Relationships
Carrers

Famous people with ADS
Fictional
Hisoricatice

Comobids
ADHD
Anxiety

As you can see, I did this whole outline on one tiny, tiny part of your topic. I could do the same with ADHD, learning disabilites, whatever....

YOU need to figure out what your paper is on before asking for thoughts.

It is not good to base your research on the opinions of other people. You really should do your own research from reliable sources. If you want help as far as finding information, people here can probably help with that, if you provide us with a more focused topic. If you would like to interview people with AS and include those people's thoughts and opinions in your paper (stated as opinions, not facts), then that is also fine, but it would be helpful if you came up with more specific questions for people to answer.

Yes, narrowing it down would help.

You have lots of people's options on the mercury thing and ADHD in your intro. I assume you will include "professional" studies and findings as well?

Oh of course! The books and papers and magazine articles I am buried under are numerous! The only reason I want YOUR opinions is because I care. Now granted I am but a junior in high school and my paper probably will never leave school grounds is unimportant. I am researching books, magazines, online and would like to have a "real person's" view on things. I have already developed my own opinions on these topics but am required to include both opinions that support my own and opposing viewpoints. i could just get all my info from a book or article but I thought that by reaching out for help, might make my paper a little more interesting to read thats all.
