recently ive been succumbing to severe panic attacks. In which Ive hallucinated. heard voiced in white noises, and become utterly paranoid beyond belief. I talked to a doctor who wants me to go to another doctor for some tests. I really dont know if im devoloping it, but as rumor and my luck would have it.....
well....
who knows.

Schizophrenia isn't the only thing that can cause psychosis. Among other things that can cause it are...

Toxins such as heavy metals, mold, or fungus.
Parasites such as toxoplasmosis.
Auto-immune encepholopathy.
Perhaps hyperthyroidism..at least it can cause anxiety.
Sleep disorders.
And certain metabolic disorders.

I'd rule these things out before you settle on schizophrenia because guess which one is the most difficult to treat.

Yep, schizophrenia.

I would also check out a GOOD CONCERNED Classical Homeopath before letting yourself get drugged up.

But in any case - don't panic. I know an Aspie guy in his 60s officially diagnosed with some kind of schiozophrenia. He is depressive, yes, but life functioning, working, good marriage and family, and I would rather be him than have a colostomy or eye surgery.

Get yourself checked out, get moving upwards as soon as you can.

Well, you are at the right age to develop schizophrenia or bipolar disorder. Just remember, even if you do get diagnosed, it does not automatically destroy your future.

If you do get diagnosed, PM me. :)

I've heard of really severe anxiety and depression causing hallucinations ... in fact, there is a specific condition called "psychotic depression". Also, people with Bipolar (especially Bipolar I) are more prone to psychosis than people without it ... and anxiety can also be a huge factor in Bipolar. Either way, I would DEFINITELY get tested...

I struggled with paranoia when I was about 18/19 but I think it had to do with a sheltered upbringing and a traumatic experience. You may 'outgrow' it... not to trivialize because I know it's very debilitating.. What I mean is, it's a part of growing up. :D for some people. 8O

I was diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic in my mid 20's. I have an autistic son on top of this. You need to seek a neuro psych maybe? Before some doc just agrees with everything you believe and send ya home with pills. Good luck to you. I hope the best for you.
