Generally agreed upon here. Though I think that MuchMusic might actually be marginally better than eMpTV. This of course colludes with my sentiments that Industry co-opted 'Culture' is complete s**t. Usually what happens is a cool underground phenomenon happens and then it gets a lot of coverage from the media, and then the idiots invade and totally F--- up something cool.

Anything by Gary Glitter. When the Vienamese shot him for being a pedophile, I sent their embassy a fruit basket with a not thanking them for improving western civilization.

Paris Hilton's album. Not that I've actually heard it. I'm putting this here on principle.

Also, I dislike practically any music that WASN'T made within the past 10-15 years because the sound quality is always so terrible and grainy, but that's just me.

Very little music makes me want to throw chairs out of windows but The Feeling and this new single by a guy called Mika just drive me off the wall. The Felling are the main culprits - I'd rather listen to Adolf Hitler's greatest speeches than any of their songs!

I haven't listened to pop music since 1987. I have listened to Classic Rock and Roll ever since then.

A more complete list of genres I totally hate, so nearly any band that fits into one of the following categories:

Supper happy prep pop.
Emo.
Screamo, like Atreyu.
Black Metal...except for a few Cradle of Filth and Dimmu Borgir songs.
Death Metal.
Yodelling.
Country Western.
Bluegrass.
Rap.
Hip-hop.
R&B.
Jazz.
Blues.
Anything with a banjo, accordian, harmonica, or bag-pipe.
80's.
Salsa.
Latin.
Danny Elfman's awful soundtrack for Nacho Libre. (This from a Danny Elfman fan.)
That genre of "gastly rock" that stuff like Nickelback belongs to. (Though, I do occasionally like a few Nickeback songs when I'm in a seriously sappy mood, but I still think they are unspeakably awful.)

Yeaaah. I hate a lot of music.
