Bit of a weird presentation visually but I kinda get the impression they might have had to in order to get it on youtube. Funny thing was I had heard it was from some live raggae recording from back in 1950's Jamaica - hearing the original beat definitely cancels that from my mind.

Interesting. On another note, the earliest sample that I heard of James Brown was on The Residents 3rd Reich & Roll LP from 1976 or so.
