This is difficult to answer seeing as none of my friends know I have AS. My head of sixth form knows though and she seems to be a little more gentle and understanding with me since my diagnosis. Perhaps it's because she's seen me have a melt down. Sorry I couldn't help more!

But for the record, I think people with visable difficulties seem to be treated better.
