Hi.

I need a recording which "best represents the authentic sound" from each of these periods:

Baroque, Classical, Romantic, 20th Century Classical & Contemporary.

Anyone have recommendations?

Thanks

PS This is more focused on production than musicality.

arvo part - tabula rasa (1984)

question is kinda vague to me 'cause I'm not a huge classical listener but I guess this "album" would fit under both 20th century classical and contemporary.

All nine of Beethoven's symphonies that were conducted by Herbert von Karjan
in the early 1960s are considered to be the best recordings of Beethoven, especially
the Ninth Symphony.
If you are looking for "Authenticity" try the Haydn Symphonies recorded by the
"Academy Of Ancient Music" directed by Christopher Hogwood.
