I'm wondering if you guys have heard of these guys. If you haven't, let me tell you who they are.

I Fight Dragons is a rock band, that uses the sounds of 8 - bit video game sounds in their music. While they DO play actual instruments, they often modify things like video game controllers, to make the 8-bit sounds they add to the song. (NES controllers, SNES controllers, Guitar Hero Guitar, etc.) Here are a few songs, if you want to hear.

This song was made to promote a game called Phantom Breaker: Battlegrounds.

The animation was made by a fan, for this one. I think some of you may relate to it. I know I do. :)

A song in one of their albums, called "KABOOM!" I find myself relating to this quite a bit, as well.

One of their slower songs, also in the album KABOOM.

One of my personal favorites, from their album, "Welcome to the Breakdown."

I'm sure some of you nerds out there will like this one. :)

This was made to promote the "Nintendo Video" app, on the 3DS.

Personally, they're my favorite rock band. I discovered them through an app on my Nintendo 3DS called "Nintendo Video", when they did a music video, with the song "Save World, Get Girl" (the last video showed above), and since then, I've been listening to their music. Being a video gamer and music lover myself, I do like the idea of adding the classic sound of 8-bit games into modern rock songs like they do. I think it's unique, and very cool. :)

If you have heard of them, how did you discover them, and what is your favorite song? If you haven't, and just heard them through the videos I showed, what do you think, and which one out of the bunch I showed, do you like? Feel free to share your opinion. :)

Indeed, I find that to be a good song as well. :) (well, a lot of their songs are really good) I'm glad to find someone else who likes them, because everyone else I asked never heard of them before.

Even played the song as a free choice in my guitar class, and no one in the entire class heard of them. I was pretty disappointed. :(

I've seen that happen before. I had a church activity with a talent show. Two guys played RE: Your Brains by Jonathan Coulton. They played extremely well, and everyone understood the lyrics and were amused, but no one knew who Jonathan Coulton was. I went up and congratulated them afterwards and they said I was one of three people who knew who they were singing and I found out one of them was one of the guys who I came with.

It can seem frustrating when someone so good isn't recognized or sought after by others.
