Only two kinds of mature; intelligent people believe anarcho-socialism can work...

Professors at MIT (and similar places) and the autistic...

People like Noam Chomsky are only two steps away from an autism diagnosis...

Libertarian socialism. This is the philosophy I subscribe to, but I'm realistic enough to know that its not going to happen, and that too many people are selfish, greedy or power crazed for it to work in practice. Ah well.... :?

I believe in socialism but agree it is unlikely to work for the reasons duncvis has stated. Wouldnt consider myself a libertarian to the extent of some pressure groups though as i have seen too many hooligans get away with appaling behaviour so agree with asbos if they are applied with a bit of common sense.

I am mature and intelligent, and i believe it can work easily. As long as you aren't working with humans. If you are working with humans, then it is a fair bit harder.

The way to look at it is - how long will it work. A lot of people look at empires as either working or not working. Some people think that democracy is the best government. Well the US government does work - but for how long? The roman empire was never democratic, it at times was a dictatorship and republic, but it last a long f*****g time. How long will the US democracy/republic last? So far were up to a few hundred years and if s**t doesnt change were gonna turn into a facist, but maybe will still last as the USA.

I am willing to believe that an Anarcho-Socialiam will work, but i dont know for how long.

Well, in the last Administration, we narrowly avoided becoming communist.

On what planet? LMAO...

*tries to imagine Clinton nationalising corporate assets and instituting a centrally planned economy, and confiscating the assets of the rich*

Hahaha, your petty systems of government are futile. Sooner or later they all collapse.

Why do humans always feel the need to control everything? You're only delaying the inevitable...

I wouldn't exactly consider myself human, and I feel the need to control everything...

In all fairness... human greed and avarice being what it is... it's unlikely that any form of political idealism will work...

If Activism could change anything... Bush would make it illegal...

Noam Chomsky admits that protests are allowed to be as loud and disorganized as they want... as long as they change nothing...

The day after the biggest protest in U.S. history vendors are selling t-shirts and caps commemorating the occasion... and capitalism is still as strong as ever...
