I had already read your blog.

I love your posts!! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !! !

I was concerned reading your blog entry on 11/20 that you still have "gender dysphoria". (Perhaps this is "body dysphoria" of having a penis ?) Since an underlying theme of your entries seem directed towards SRS and lack of funding for it.

If you still have "gender dysphoria" ,and not penis body dysphoria, then that is a horrible place to be. You are a girl whose mind is still structured as something else. The brain would be in turmoil, and naturally other mental illnesses will develop over such cruel mental torture.

Have you tried the "Lending Club" ? You did mention you have a job. There are lot of people there willing to lend to people with verifiable income, or am I incorrect, is it that the doctors won't sign a letter for SRS ?

Further, regarding your questions on your blog about gender dysphoria ...

Speaking from a MTF perspective, in my experience, HRT, specifically anti-androgens, very, very slowly influenced changes in my brain to occur, such that the personality can emerge, and dysphoria ends.

When I hear you say that you still have gender dysphoria that makes me think your brain is not fully integrated with your personality. That makes me think the relevant brain structures are like 90% base female & 10% mutated male from the male hormones. Of course, you will be a mental illness mess. It is an incompatible structure.

You ask several questions about treating gender dysphoria. I don't know. For me, therapy, dressing as a woman, nothing worked, until the brain was physically changed by hormones which allowed the personality to express itself.

With gender dysphoria I thought ................................ I think I am a woman
without gender dysphoria I say with confidence .. I know I am a woman

Since, perhaps, you have lived your entire life with gender dysphoria, it might not be imaginable that you can be a person without it.

Hi LoveNotHate,

I'm currently living full-time as a woman and taking hormones, which I've been doing for a while. My dysphoria lies with my genitals. Basically, I dislike them. I hate it when they brush up against, say, my leg, etc. I hate looking at them. Of course, all this added to the insult of being placed with the men for still being pre-op. The problem is cost and lack of coverage from any third party, not because my doctors won't write the letters. My credit score is shot from the bills from my 3 hospitalizations, so getting a loan is out of the question.

BTW, thanks for the support.

Ok. I apologize if any offense was taken.

I call that "body dysphoria". You call it "gender dysphoria".

I call it "body dysphoria", since the TG people have the expression of "gender is in head, and sex is between you legs".

BTW. What are your goals in transition?
