I don't know if he is, but I know what you mean.

There's a club if you want to go
You could meet somebody who really loves you,
So you go and you stand on your own and you leave on your own
Then you go home and you cry and you want to die

That's how I feel about clubs/bars/parties etc.

Yes it is. I went to Johnny Marr's gig this month and he sang it surprisingly well.

I don't think he is, but I can't say for certain.

I haven't heard anything official but everything about him gives off a vibe of high functioning autism. We should definitely claim him.

Excuse me while I esplode all over the facilities. (you do realise you will not become famous or a good singer song writer by the virtue of Morrissey being declared autistic?)

Morrissey has never said this as far as I know. He is of a generation where it is common for those that have it to not know. Even if he has it and knows about it he has a right not to disclose and we need to respect that. Morrissey does not strike me as a person that would make a public cause out of his condition if it exists.

Musicians exhibit spectrum traits hyper focus , special interests, eccentricity etc. But they have to preform with strong lighting, do a lot of marketing and networking.

Morrissey became and still is an icon to people who feel like outcasts for whatever reason. That is more then enough.

No.

But it never stopped me adoring The Smiths, a big part of my life in the eighties.
