Hi, I'm getting into cooking and am looking to talk about it/ learn things / drool over food pron.

Tonight I'm making non-canned beans for the first time, they have been soaking overnight and I'm looking up recipes.

Food that looks good often times tastes better.
Don't forget to decorate your meal when your done.

I hate Salad, but I like to garnish with it. :D

Why soak beans? All you need to do is get an electric pressure cooker and you'll have fully cooked beans in a few minutes.

I think cooking is the ultimate art. All you have to do is add music and you have an art form that appeals to all senses. I'm a composer and I enjoy cooking, but I have no flair for visual presentation. My food tastes great but looks like slop. It would be intesting to see how well music could be written for the express purpose of dressing up a dinner, what sound blends well with what taste/texture/smell/color of the food being served. Classical music makes a meal enjoyable, but the music is not an integrated part of the meal itself, as opposed to the actual edible components.
