Am I the ONLY one who hears this $HIT?!
LoL

This $hit's F***ing Inspiring!! !!

Ha!

For ALL-you artists (who work) in coffeeshops:

Have YOU (ever) overheard ANY of this...(just-plain)...crazy...CRAZY(!)...$HITTTT?! - LOL

One example:

There I WAS...mindin' my own business...

...when, all-of-a-sudden,...

Two chicks behind me begin this epic conversation:

"Daddy is SO unfair!"

"Oh, rly? Why?"

"Well, whenever ONE of us turns 'Sweet-16', he always lets the 'Birthday Girl' choose one trip-destination - ANYwhere we want - but, THIS year, my little-sister already got to fly-out to North Carolina...to visit 'Duke University'...for college...BUT...NOWWW, he's sayin' 'THAT didn't count!! ! ... ... ... ... ...Can you BELIEVE THAT?! ! He's letting her pick ANOTHER TRIP!! That's TWO TRIPS!! !!"

(Long silence: no response from the other, college girl)

"Yeah. THIS time, he's taking her to San FranCISco!! ! Ahhhhh! Really??! !?? I only got to go to Hawai'i. That's ONE trip! ONE!! !! ! Ah! This is SO unFAIR!! !! !!"

wut?

(The second-girl - the "listening"-one -- to her credit - NEVER responded. :) The "Daddy" topic was dropped/changed/switched.)

(Yay!)...

...(but...some good "material" - there, eh?!)
---------------------------------------

(And, NOTTTT to bore ya, but...)

Today, I was sittin' there (again), writin'... and... overheard three, '50-ish'-yr-old, card-playin', giggly-but-snobby women discuss:

1) (in whispered voices) how awful their friend's hair is;

2) how "Star Wars" isn't a good movie;

3) how the 1976 horror-film "The Omen" actually IS a good movie. (Now, I'll GIVE'em that-one.)

(Also, I've yet to see their friend's hair.)

---------------------------------------

In conclusion, HA(!), many of us SEARCH for inspiration, but...
lol... ... ... it's ALL around us!! :)

So,
dew ewe Gotz N.E. fun-knee Store-Eeez, 2??
8) :cry: :?: :? 8O :) 8O

Occasionally when I'm coding or studying I'll overhear either professional or wildly incredulous conversations about aspies. Sometimes it's a laugh but mostly it's scary learning the limits of modern ignorance.

My favorite things lately have been talking robotics with a kid & his grandfather and reactions to the bizarre music choices from baristas.

"Ding Ding Ding!"

For having heard crazy-a$$ stories, specifically, ABOUT Aspies, you get "major-super-big&happy" BONUS-points!

Strange incident that happened today at a coffee shop that I go to about once a week for a few hours to read the papers. It's an Italian place, and they have small bistro-style tables and a large window front overlooking a busy place. I always get the same table directly at the window and sit down with my back to the other customers, looking outside. Today, when I got up to get a refill at the bar, some old guy walked up to my table and sat down ignoring my paper on the table and my jacket on the other chair and even though I pointed out to him that the table was occupied and there were other tables that weren't. Not sure what motivated him, but when I got back with my own coffee we sat uncomfortably side by side, me continuing to read the paper, and it ultimately took all of five minutes for him to empty his cup and leave. Did I miss something?

In one of today's papers some columnist wrote about a conversation *he* had overheard, on a train. One youth to the other: "Your perfume is gay". Says the other: "I *am* gay". Responds the first: "Being gay is okay for people, but not for perfumes" ...

Also, I forgot to mention that, less than two weeks-ago (at the library), I overheard a "break-up" conversation just starting.

"I just think our relationship is getting...well, I don't know...kinda weird. I mean, don't ya think?"

Upon hearing this, when I suddenly turned their way, the eyes of "the dude" (who was wearin' a black cowboy hat) darted to mine. (His eyes said "Oh, oh, oh $hit.")

So I got-up & left. (I went to another section.)

Later, in the parking lot, their "discussion" had turned-into a STILL-quiet - yet NOW, highly-animated "discussion" (by her) (e.g., stomping away, stopping, stomping away, again, fingers pointing, scowls).

Or, was this now a "break-up"??

Not overheard in a Coffeeshop, but rather a specialty store that carries Scandinavian Imports;

FEMALE CUSTOMER:'I'm going to Denmark and Sweden to preach the gospel, and I was wondering if you had any translated versions of the King James Bible in those languages?'

OWNER: 'I'm sorry, but we really don't have anything like that here, you might want to try a religious bookstore.'

FEMALE CUSTOMER: 'Well I'm kind of not surprised, considering the fact that this part of the country, (New England) is almost communist in it's atheism.'
