Sgt.Marcus had hid when the Braxxian warships appeared over Myza. He knew there was not much he could do to fight three heavily armed capital vessels with just his Yogger laser pistol, so he hid in the alley ways until the coast was clear. Once the vessels had moved on however; Marcus proceeded to search for other AMA soldiers who could help tell him what was going on.
Marcus saw what appeared to be drop pods falling in the distance. He knew they were not AMA or AMSA drop pods so he quickly deducted that the enemy was sending ground forces in order to secure the city. Marcus sticked close to cover and hid in the shadows.
Marcus's was correct in his assessments as sure enough he could see cyborgs enter the streets of Myza. They walked around in their bulky armor searching through the city. They were the height of a average human being, but cladded in all sorts of armor and armaments. Marcus would have a tough time fighting all of them as his only potent weapon was his Yogger pistol, and that had a limited magazine. In battle he was known to resort to his sharp claws, but theses cyborgs looked well prepared for an assault with their armor.
Marcus crept closer in the shadows of the alleyways trying not to get spotted. He knew that if he got in range of the cyborgs they would detect him with any sort of radar or sensor device they had brought.
“Best not engage these dudes yet, whoever they are.” Marcus thought in his head.
The good news was with his natural feline like ears he was able to tune in on the Braxxians who were chattering. What was strange to Marcus is that these cyborgs acted awfully independent. As so far to be acting like normal soldiers sweeping a town, rather then mindless robots. They would ever so often look around to see if something was behind them, which Marcus in turn tried to conceal himself even more.
“They have locked themselves inside these buildings.” A cyborg said.
“Typical behavior for our arrival on a new world.” said what appeared to be the officer among the cyborgs said.
“Leave them in theses buildings for now. Unless they oppose us we shall keep them hold up until we secure the planet.” The officer ordered to their soldiers.
“Yes sir.” The other cyborgs said in response to the officer's authority.
Marcus listened in until something caught his eye, it was the kid from before. He seemed to be hiding in the alleyway a distance from the Braxxians. It became clear to Marcus now, the kid and father were both homeless. So they had to hide in the streets.
“Bullies!” The kid yelled out to the cyborgs while running out into the streets.
Marcus could see the father tremble, his facial expression appeared like he was too scared to go out and help his son. Marcus turned off his safety and got ready to moveed in closer. He would have to deal with this situation carefully.
“Leave us alone!” said the kid to the cyborgs.
The Braxxians turned around and aimed at the child. The child soon lost courage and was frozen in fear at the cold grotesqueness of the cyborgs images and the sight of their weaponry being aimed at him.
“P-Please?” Asked the child not realizing the full danger he was in.
“What should we do sir?” Asked the cyborg to his officer.
“Resistance has no minimal prerequisite. All opposition must be nullified.”
Marcus tried to aim his gun, but a gust of wind and snow formed up hindering his visibility. What he did hear was a sounded like a blast of laser fire, the scream of the little boy in agony, and then silence.
Marcus's blood was boiling at this point. He joined the AMA so situations like this could be prevented. Marcus was about to do something stupid, but he didn't care. He charged out of cover and past the gusts to where he can see the Braxxians. He saw them sure enough. The officer was the one who must have killed the little boy. Now his father was holding the child's lifeless body while he cried in grief. The Braxxians turned their guns away from the father and aimed at Marcus.
“Eat s*** and die!” Marcus said as he unloaded his pistol on the officer.
He was able to down the officer by a lucky shot to the head, but the two others opened fire on him.
Marcus tried to strafe them while firing. He lost accuracy and was unable to suppress them, but he was able to get behind cover of a small wall. Marcus would fire a few shots, then he would get behind the wall. Unfortunately one of the Braxxians shots hit him in the arm and he was unable to use he started bleeding.
The Braxxians started to close in on his position, but then heard what appeared to be two shots fired from a large caliber rifle. He could hear brief screams from the Braxxians then silence. Marcus peaked his head out and saw the two Braxxian soldiers dead, while the father was unharmed.
“Phew, thanks dude.” Marcus said out.
Then he saw the laser site pointed on his chest where his heart was. Marcus gazed up and saw it was none other than the CCI Major Fenris himself.
“Don't move, or you will be next AMA.” Fenris called out to him in a cold tone.
Yet before Marcus could do anything, he fainted from the loss of blood from his wound in the arm. When he awoke he found out his wound was healed and he was taken to a safe spot. Unfortunately the major had a gun pointed to his head and Marcus knew he had a reputation for not missing a single shot.
“You will tell me now, why are these invaders you brought here in my country?” Fenris asked him looking for answers.
“I, I do not know. One moment I was on patrol and the next all this freaky junk happened.” Marcus replied as honest as he could.
“Who are these invaders? They must be here because of you Moebians.” Fenris told him.
“No, um we never seen them before. At least I haven't. I do know know. “Marcus replied to him.
“Then the reports about you are correct then Sargent. You are an idiot.” Fenris told him while Marcus bit his lip preparing to meet his maker.
“I should kill you now AMA puppet, but sadly fate has made it where we both share a common enemy.” Fenris said.
“Get ready soon. You will escort me to that she-wolf colonel of yours, or else.” Fenris told Marcus.
