The lawyer from the TLDEF I'm working with has just had me send a new letter to my insurance company, which opens with the statement, "I am making this request pursuant to my rights under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 ('ERISA')." Basically, the denial letter was very vague (which made the lawyer suspicious), so he is having me send a letter asking for far more detailed information to know what we're up against.
