I am a fan of Audiobooks and I am always on the lookout for interesting fiction/ non-fiction audiobooks with very good readers. Please post your recommendations. I am curious about non commercial (Librivox) as well as commercial readings.

To begin with something I liked:

14, by Peter Clines. Read by Ray Porter.

This has one of the best readings that I have ever heard. It's about a guy who moves into an apartment complex that was once home to H.P Lovecraft. In tone it is something like a splice between Lovecraft and Josh Whedon. It surprised me how good this is.

World War Z is a very well done audiobook. The sections are each read by celebrities. I would also recommend Tales From Beyond the Pale. This isn't so much an audiobook, it is more audio drama fully acted out, like the old radio shows.

I recently listened to the second addition to the kingkiller chronicles by patrick rothfuss after reading the first book over a year ago it is an amazing story and i personally believe many aspies like myself would love it and i wont go into any detail but the second book (The Wise Mans Fear) has something that hints at the autism spectrum in a way

The narrators are hit and miss, but EscapePod is a good source for SF short fiction. They usually put out a podcast/week.
