wish I could myself be edumacated in music theories. I have the heart of a musician but the talent of a hamster. oh well. this is the 1st time I've heard 10/4 time signature before, I imagine that it "overlaps" every other measure?

. It does overlap. It ends up feeling like 4/4 because the ear automatically hears the phrasing in common time. I wish I had a real jazz trio though. Im forced to use midi instruments which doesn't sound the same really. I end up playing the drums bass and piano on a midi keyboard which just isn't really ideal.
