I want to get into a good college, and I have an IQ of 127 or 128... In 9th grade I had a GPA of 2.91 (can't remember exactly what it was now)... In 10th grade, I had a GPA of 3.32-3.36 (can't remember), and this year, so far I have a GPA of 3.3534666. I took one AP class in 9th grade (first semester, U.S. government, second, comparative government) and two AP classes this year.... This year, I am taking AP Psychology, and AP U.S. history, and so far, I have 14.5 credits and am in the first 9 weeks of my 11th grade year.... What GPA, and major should I aim for? My transition counselor in my alternative school this year said I should go to a 2 year college and move on from there to 4-year college.... Should I? Also, how do I deal with my fear of crowds and noise sensitivity when I go to regular college?

Psychology and history are both good classes to help you understand your own cognitive biases but neither lead to good careers. There are too many psychology grads and not enough psychology jobs and those who learn from history are doomed to teach it.

Crowds may seem scary at first but over time you can get used to them. You might want to think about majoring in engineering or journalism (just suggestions). If you really really don't want to see any crowds, you could always become an apprentice, if you don't mind blue collar work that is.

The two-year to four-year college path isn't bad.

Majoring in history won't pay the bills.

If you like working with other people, maybe go for social work.

While earning large amounts of money can be an important part of deciding a career, it should not be the largest factor. One should enjoy what they do. Just make sure that it pays at least enough to live on.
