Electronic Musics! (And others)
Hiiii~
I've already dropped a post in the musician's showcase thread about one of my compositions, but I figured I'd probably get more notice if I dropped the rest of my stuff in a thread of its own so I don't get lost in a sea of other posts (granted I can still get lost in a sea of threads this way, but hey).
I tend to compose electronic synth music, but from time to time divulge in a little orchestra or piano (all composed via either keyboard or software, though).
The majority of my music can be found here: https://www.reverbnation.com/rickybennett/songs (with better and newer stuff at the top of the list and older and rubbish stuff at the bottom XD)
However, there are some exceptions... firstly, there's this one: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/511 ... Trance.mp3 which generally isn't available for free (until now apparently XD) because I stuck it with a digital album as a buy-only track to thank anyone willing to show support by buying (not that anyone has). It's a piece I want to point out because it's almost entirely made up of 8-bit sounds (some distorted), with maybe a reverse cymbal an another effect in there somewhere being the only divergences from that.
There's also the composition I haven't yet added to reverbnation because I don't know what I'm going to do with it distribution wise, and that's the one I linked in the musician's showcase thread. For the sake of ease, I'll repost the link here:
Beyond that, a few years ago, before I got any decent-sounding composing software, I remixed some music from Final Fantasy IX. Whilst the midi soundfont leaves much to be desired, one of those remixes turned out to be my most popular work to date, getting over 10,000 views. That one can be found here:
Another FFIX remix I want to point out is this one:
Finally, I once tried my hand at making an RPG computer game, but lost interest part way through. However, what did come out of it were a few pieces of music. Currently, I've only uploaded 2 of those tunes to my Youtube.
They are this one:
And this one:
