Sorry guys, I'm not starting a fan club or discussion about Skyrim here. It's more of a rant.

<rant>

So yeah, this new video game called Skyrim came out, and now every day at my lunch table, the guy I like (who is an Aspie, by the way) talks about this stupid game with his friend. (Yes, we all sit together at lunch. Haha. Cute.) Before, they (and WE) used to talk about more interesting things like mad science and Internet memes. But now, every day, SKYRIMSKYRIMSKYRIM. QUESTSQUESTSQUESTS. LEVELSLEVELSLEVELS. It's driving me nuts.

"GUYS. I GET IT. IT'S AWESOME. (I know because it involves dragons.) But I'm still not getting this game."
...Boys can be so frustrating sometimes...

</rant>

(I'm more of a Guitar Hero person myself.)

That's kinda the reason I don't click with a lot of aspies. They never shut up about video games. Every fifteen minutes it's YugiOh or Pokemon or Zelda, or some bullsh** to do with WoW. Or anime. Or ninjas. Who knows.

Oh god I totally know what you mean. But he's still a nice guy, and we're still friends and everything. It's just that the daily talk of Skyrim is becoming too annoying to bear.

Haven't played the game, but I've surely heard quite a bit about it. I'm not usually one for those sorts of games. I used to enjoy Guitar Hero, and I still enjoy rhythm games (primarily osu!)

Speaking of osu, I just got admitted to Ohio State. Totally unrelated to the rhythm game, I know. :)

Skyrim looks cool. I'm waiting for Christmas for a computer that can play it.

The only aspie friend I had was pretty weird. He was obsessed with comics and obscure cartoons, and he had a weird way of speaking and a rigid manner. He also tended to talk a lot without letting me talk back or initiate any conversation. He was pretty nice though, even though he had tantrums fairly often. Unlike me, I'm sullen.

I'm a GIRL and I LOVE Skyrim! I wish people I like would talk about Skyrim or just let me talk about it for more than 10 seconds before asking me to shut up! Okay I admit it.. I'm an aspie, but still it's awesome and you should try it! Maybe at his house? :wink:

I guess I'm just not into those kinds of games. I tried Runescape once (not the same but still quite similar in terms of setting and activities), and I lost interest within a week.

Skyrim is just that too much awesome.

I know it because I'm playing that game too.

You'll have to wait for him to finish the game, I'm afraid. Hey at least he's not your husband or boyfriend or whatever... :(

(To speed up the process, tell him that at the end of the game you get nudes pics of Lydia :lol: that should help).

I love Skyrim. I just get to wander around, kill people and then loot their houses. What could be more fun than that? XD

I like to talk about video games on occasion but I guess it depends on who I'm talking to and the topic of the conversation. Others here have said they love Guitar Hero. Guitar Hero/Rock Band are amazing. My sister and I played Rock Band II for 6 hours once and I played every song on guitar a the hard or expert level. My fingers were very sore after that.

I love Skyrim! I waited all year for it to come out. I got it as a present for Christmas the year it was released. :D :heart: :heart: :heart: :heart: :heart: :heart: :heart:
