I'm now a junior in high school, and everything's all messed up, and they took me out of IB Visual Arts because I have to make up half a credit of English from failing last year, which is ok, but they took me out of FRENCH because now I also have transitional services, and I'm just really mad about that.
Anyway, it took a long time before I finally got an IEP in school, so I don't know what's going to be different, and I don't really know what Transitional Services is. What is it?

Transitional Services, at least in theory, is a reflection of the idea that it is difficult for people with disabilities to "transition" into adulthood, and that they need guidance in the transition from adolescence to adulthood--especially when it comes to obtaining employment and attaining independence from your parents.
By the way, even "normal" people frequently experience difficulties transitioning from adolescence to adulthood.
Are you planning on going college? Transitional Services might be able to help you in the transition from high school to college, too.
If I were you, I would make sure that I am on the path to the same high school diploma that "normal" people get, rather than the "IEP diploma."
