Ed Harcourt - The Saddest Orchestra (It Only Plays For You)
Mr Harcourt is a talented musician and songwriter, with a voice that isn't quite as good as it first seems, but is very capable nonetheless. He usually leads with the piano, and makes good use of it and his instrumentation/arrangements.

Carina Round - On Leaving
There's a touch of the Jeff Buckley, I suppose, in the more jazz-infused moments and the fearlessness. Some critic described her style as 'f*****g up the blues', which has a truth to it. She moves from an earthy, mischevious horniness to ethereal longing with remarkable ease. She snarls and she keens and she yearns.
Just give it a listen already.
