I have been reading the CLEAN ROOM books from Vertigo and it is pretty twisted. To add to the list I would recommend COLDER. There is a new book that just came out from Image called DEMONIC and the first issue had a good set up ...have to see how #2 goes. WIRE HANGERS was a good run by Alan Roberts he also did KILLOGY (but I have not read those yet) I have also heard that SURVIVOR'S CLUB was good (9 books in all) but they are still in my read pile.

I have been collecting again for about a year now and like you I am not a big fan of the super hero stuff. There is a lot of great work being done in the smaller publishers such as Boom, Black Mask, Dark Horse, AfterShock, Vertigo, Zenescope, Image, Oni Press, and Over Ground. I am sure there are more but these are the ones that come to mind.
