Top 90% is where 90% of people are. Did you mean 90th percentile?
You could estimate that from the comment. Let's say if the vertical cut off line was 90 % of the total length I would be in the upper part. I usually have too little motivation to fully explain my mental imagery which in fact makes me poorer mathematician. Instructors usually had no idea how I arrived to right solution...
The funny thing is that I'm totally aware of my sloppiness but I don't care.
But being in the top 10 % is also as logically sound as being top 90 %. Just "little" bit less accuracy.
However once I got into I show them mood and made over elaborate explanations.
It wasn't so welcomed approach either.
